Wingate Avenue Community Centre enables individuals and groups to achieve their potential, share experiences and expertise, overcome existing barriers and build an integrated and supportive community.

Wingate Avenue Community Centre achieves its Mission through:

• Provision of learning, recreation, support and information opportunities
• Assisting in the development of Community Projects
• Supporting existing and new special interest groups
• Providing a meeting space for groups in the community
• Providing affordable, quality childcare for people participating in activities
• Actively encouraging members of the community to participate in the running of the centre
• Assisting people to develop responses to issues which affect them and their local community

The beliefs which guide our work are:

• Every person has the right to equal access to services, information and resources.
• The Community Centre belongs to the local community and must be responsive to their needs.
• People have the ability to help themselves but they might need some support and information to get started.
• Fees are necessary to cover the running costs of the centre activities but they will be kept to a minimum.
