Environmental Project Worker - Fixed Term Contract
The Project worker will be responsible for implementing the environmental project on the Ascot Vale estate.
Wingate Avenue Community Centre, in partnership with Moonee Valley Council and Office of Housing (Ascot Vale branch) will develop
a pilot project to research a number of recycling methods on the Ascot Vale estate. The project will be multi-facted including researching
best practice for recycling in multi-unit developments and a raising awareness campaign to introduce a recycling scheme to residents.
Currently there is no housefold waste recycling scheme for the 800 households on the Ascot Vale public housing esate.
This project will trial a range of recycling models to determine the best practice recycling method for a multi-unit estate,
prior to full implementation across the whole of the Ascot Vale esate.
The worker will engage with the local community and work along side Wingate's community development worker.
Hours of work: 15 - 20 hours per week
Days of Work: 3 days per week (Flexible Tues, Wed, Thurs, and/or Fri)
Renumeration: $55,229 - $59, 280 (pro rata) for 12 months.
